Sometimes faith at its best is entering the mystery of holding together the tension between the truth of the world as we experience it and the truth of our hope in a world that is filled with the presence and wholeness of God. May God give us courage to hear this good news, to hold our integrity and to find a way to go on saying “Yes” to God and to life." (Andrew Wolff November 4th 2004. Laughingbird.net)
The beautiful and profound story behind the hymn Just As I Am. A testament to God's grace in the face of suffering.

1st Timothy 4:1-5
The Spirit clearly says that in later times some will abandon the faith and follow deceiving spirits and things taught by demons. Such teachings come through hypocritical liars, whose consciences have been seared as with a hot iron. They forbid people to marry and order them to abstain from certain foods, which God created to be received with thanksgiving by those who believe and who know the truth. For everything God created is good, and nothing is to be rejected if it is received with thanksgiving, because it is consecrated by the word of God and prayer.

In 1991, Anthony realised he was in love with a man. That wasn't an unusual thing in itself, except that Anthony was at that time, a leader in Australia's Assemblies of God Church. In today's program, Barry McKay (This Way Out Correspondent) Interviews Anthony Venn-Brown, Author of the book, "A Life of Unlearning."

Work the Words into Your Life
"You don't get wormy apples off a healthy
tree, nor good apples off a diseased tree.
The health of the apple tells the health
of the tree. You must begin with your own
life-giving lives. It's who you are, not
what you say and do, that counts. Your true
being brims over into true words and deeds.
